This hearty dish combines savory cabbage with minced meat for a comforting meal.

Ingredients

  • 1 head Wirsing (savoy cabbage)
  • 400 grams ground beef
  • 2 onions, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 200 ml beef broth
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon paprika

Instructions

  1. Heat olive oil in a large pot over medium heat.
  2. Add the chopped onions and minced garlic, sauté until translucent.
  3. Add the ground beef and cook until browned.
  4. Chop the Wirsing and add it to the pot.
  5. Pour in the beef broth, season with salt, pepper, and paprika, then stir well.
  6. Cover and simmer for about 30 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  7. Adjust seasoning to taste before serving.

Notes

  • This dish can also be made with ground turkey for a lighter option.
  • Serve with crusty bread for a complete meal.
