A delicious and simple baguette sandwich with fresh tomatoes and mozzarella cheese.

Ingredients

  • 1 baguette
  • 2 ripe tomatoes
  • 200 grams fresh mozzarella cheese
  • 2 tablespoons fresh basil
  • 2 tablespoons balsamic vinegar
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • Salt to taste
  • Black pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Slice the baguette in half lengthwise.
  2. Layer sliced tomatoes and mozzarella on the bottom half of the baguette.
  3. Sprinkle with salt and black pepper.
  4. Drizzle with balsamic vinegar and olive oil.
  5. Add fresh basil leaves.
  6. Top with the other half of the baguette and press down lightly.
  7. Slice into portion sizes and serve.

Notes

  • For extra flavor, marinate the tomatoes in balsamic vinegar and olive oil for 30 minutes before assembling the sandwich.
