Deliciously flaky and buttery puff pastry hearts, perfect for a sweet treat or dessert.

Ingredients

  • 1 sheet puff pastry
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 tablespoon cinnamon
  • 1 egg (for egg wash)
  • optional powdered sugar for dusting

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Roll out the puff pastry on a floured surface.
  3. Cut the pastry into heart shapes using a cookie cutter.
  4. Mix sugar and cinnamon together and sprinkle over the heart shapes.
  5. Place the hearts on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  6. Brush the tops with beaten egg.
  7. Bake for 12-15 minutes or until golden brown.
  8. Allow to cool slightly before dusting with powdered sugar if desired.

Notes

  • Ensure that the puff pastry is kept cold until ready to use for best results.
