- 1 sheet puff pastry
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 1 tablespoon cinnamon
- 1 egg (for egg wash)
- optional powdered sugar for dusting
- Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
- Roll out the puff pastry on a floured surface.
- Cut the pastry into heart shapes using a cookie cutter.
- Mix sugar and cinnamon together and sprinkle over the heart shapes.
- Place the hearts on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
- Brush the tops with beaten egg.
- Bake for 12-15 minutes or until golden brown.
- Allow to cool slightly before dusting with powdered sugar if desired.
