A deliciously rich and moist Nutella traybake cake topped with creamy frosting and chocolate hazelnut spread.

Ingredients

  • 200g granulated sugar
  • 125g unsalted butter, softened
  • 3 large eggs
  • 200g all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • ½ tsp salt
  • 100ml milk
  • 150g Nutella

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 180°C (350°F) and grease a baking tray.
  2. In a bowl, cream together the sugar and butter until fluffy.
  3. Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition.
  4. Sift in the flour, baking powder, and salt, then fold gently into the batter.
  5. Add the milk and Nutella, mixing until well combined.
  6. Pour the batter into the prepared tray and smooth the top.
  7. Bake for 25-30 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  8. Let cool and optionally frost with Nutella before serving.

Notes

  • Store in an airtight container for up to 5 days.
  • This cake can be frozen for longer storage. Just make sure to wrap it well.
