A rich and indulgent chocolate cake layered with mocha cream.

- 4 eggs
- 200 g sugar
- 200 g dark chocolate
- 150 g butter
- 200 g flour
- 1 tsp baking powder
- 300 ml heavy cream
- 2 tbsp espresso
- 100 g powdered sugar
- Preheat your oven to 180°C (350°F).
- Beat the eggs and sugar until fluffy.
- Melt the chocolate and butter together.
- Fold the chocolate mixture into the egg mixture.
- Sift in the flour and baking powder.
- Pour the batter into a greased cake pan and bake for 25-30 minutes.
- Let it cool completely.
- Whip the heavy cream and mix in espresso and powdered sugar.
- Layer the cream between the cake layers and on top.
Notes
- For extra flavor, add a splash of coffee liqueur to the cream.
- Store in the refrigerator if not consumed immediately.
