- 250 grams poppy seeds
- 200 grams sugar
- 4 eggs
- 1 liter milk
- 200 grams semolina
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 50 grams butter
- 1 pinch salt
- Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F).
- Boil the milk in a saucepan.
- Add semolina gradually to the boiling milk, stirring constantly.
- In a bowl, beat the eggs with sugar and vanilla extract.
- Mix the poppy seeds into the cooled semolina mixture.
- Combine the egg mixture with the semolina and poppy seed mixture.
- Pour the batter into a greased baking dish and top with butter.
- Bake for 30-40 minutes until golden brown.
- Let it cool slightly before serving.
