- 500 grams minced beef
- 250 grams minced pork
- 1 onion, finely chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 100 ml breadcrumbs
- 1 egg
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon pepper
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 1 kg potatoes
- 200 ml milk
- 50 grams butter (for mash)
- In a large bowl, mix the minced beef and pork with chopped onion, garlic, breadcrumbs, egg, salt, and pepper.
- Form small meatballs and set aside.
- In a frying pan, melt butter and cook the meatballs until browned and cooked through.
- Peel and chop the potatoes, then boil until soft.
- Drain the potatoes and mash with milk and butter until creamy.
- Serve the meatballs on a bed of mashed potatoes.
Notes
- Serve with lingonberry sauce for an authentic touch.
- This recipe can be easily doubled for larger gatherings.
