- 500 g ground beef
- 100 g ground pork
- 1 onion, finely chopped
- 1 egg
- 100 g white bread
- 200 ml milk
- 2 tablespoons capers
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 1 tablespoon flour
- 500 ml beef broth
- Salt to taste
- Pepper to taste
- Soak the white bread in milk, then squeeze out excess liquid.
- In a bowl, mix the ground beef, ground pork, soaked bread, onion, and egg. Season with salt and pepper.
- Form the mixture into meatballs.
- In a pot, bring the beef broth to a gentle simmer and add the meatballs.
- Cook the meatballs for about 15 minutes until cooked through.
- In a separate pan, melt butter and stir in flour to make a roux.
- Slowly add some of the broth to the roux while stirring, then mix in the capers.
- Add the caper sauce to the meatballs and serve hot.
Notes
- For a richer sauce, add a splash of cream.
- Serve with boiled potatoes or rice.
