- 12 ounces mozzarella cheese sticks
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 2 large eggs
- 1 cup panko breadcrumbs
- 1 tablespoon cayenne pepper
- 1 tablespoon paprika
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon black pepper
- Vegetable oil for frying
- Prepare the mozzarella sticks by freezing them for at least 1 hour.
- Set up a breading station with flour, whisked eggs, and a mixture of panko breadcrumbs and spices.
- Dredge the frozen mozzarella sticks in flour, dip them in eggs, and coat with panko mixture.
- Heat oil in a deep fryer or large pot to 350°F (175°C).
- Fry the mozzarella sticks until golden brown and crispy, about 2-3 minutes.
- Drain on paper towels and sprinkle with additional cayenne if desired.
