- 150 grams sugar
- 100 grams butter
- 3 eggs
- 200 grams cherries, pitted
- 50 grams chocolate shavings
- 1 tablespoon baking powder
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 pinch salt
- Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F).
- In a bowl, cream the butter and sugar until fluffy.
- Add the eggs one by one, and mix well.
- In another bowl, combine the flour, baking powder, and salt.
- Gradually add the dry ingredients to the butter mixture.
- Stir in the vanilla extract and chocolate shavings.
- Fold in the cherries gently.
- Pour the batter into a greased cake pan.
- Bake for 45-50 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
- Let it cool before serving.
