  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon sugar
  • 1 teaspoon instant yeast
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • ¾ cup warm water
  • 1 cup feta cheese, crumbled
  • 1 cup mozzarella cheese, grated
  • 1 egg (for topping)
  • 1 tablespoon butter

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, mix flour, salt, sugar, and yeast together.
  2. Add warm water and olive oil to the mixture, knead until smooth.
  3. Cover the dough and let it rise in a warm area for about 1 hour.
  4. Preheat the oven to 450°F (230°C).
  5. Divide the dough into two pieces and shape them into boats on a baking sheet.
  6. In a bowl, mix feta and mozzarella cheese and fill the dough boats with the cheese mixture.
  7. Create a small indent in the center and crack an egg over the cheese.
  8. Dot with butter around the edge and bake for 15-20 minutes until golden brown.
  9. Serve hot, pulling off the bread edges to dip into the cheese.

Notes

  • For a richer flavor, use a mix of different cheeses.
  • Serve immediately for the best texture and taste.
