- 1 pound boneless chicken thighs
- 1 cup plain yogurt
- 2 tablespoons garam masala
- 1 tablespoon ground cumin
- 1 tablespoon ground coriander
- 1 teaspoon turmeric
- 2 tablespoons ginger-garlic paste
- 4 tablespoons butter
- 1 onion finely chopped
- 1 can (14 oz) crushed tomatoes
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 2 teaspoons sugar
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon cayenne pepper
- 1/4 cup chopped cilantro for garnish
- In a bowl, mix yogurt, garam masala, cumin, coriander, turmeric, and ginger-garlic paste. Add chicken and marinate for at least 1 hour.
- Heat butter in a skillet over medium heat; sauté onions until golden.
- Add the marinated chicken and cook until browned.
- Stir in crushed tomatoes, sugar, and salt; simmer for 15 minutes.
- Reduce heat and stir in heavy cream; cook for another 10 minutes.
- Garnish with cilantro and serve hot.
