- 1 tablespoon sugar
- 2 teaspoons salt
- 1 tablespoon active dry yeast
- 1 ¾ cups warm water
- ½ cup sesame seeds
- 2 tablespoons molasses
- In a large bowl, mix the flour, sugar, salt, and yeast.
- Add the warm water gradually, mixing until a dough forms.
- Knead the dough for about 10 minutes until smooth.
- Cover the dough and let it rise for about 1 hour.
- Preheat the oven to 450°F (230°C).
- Punch down the risen dough and divide it into small balls.
- Shape each ball into a bagel-like ring.
- In a shallow bowl, mix molasses with warm water and dip each ring into the mixture.
- Coat the rings in sesame seeds.
- Place on a baking sheet and bake for 20-25 minutes until golden brown.
