- 250 grams butter
- 250 grams powdered sugar
- 5 eggs
- 250 grams flour
- 500 ml cream
- 1 tablespoon vanilla extract
- 1 packet gelatin
- 100 grams cocoa powder
- Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F).
- Cream the butter and powdered sugar until fluffy.
- Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well.
- Sift in the flour and cocoa powder, then fold gently until combined.
- Pour the batter into a greased cake tin and bake for 25-30 minutes.
- Let the cake cool completely.
- Whip the cream with vanilla extract until soft peaks form.
- Dissolve the gelatin according to package instructions and mix into the cream.
- Slice the cooled cake and layer it with the cream mixture.
- Chill the cake for at least 2 hours before serving.
Notes
- For a richer flavor, you can add espresso powder to the cream.
- Garnish with chocolate shavings or fresh berries before serving.
