- 1 kg potatoes
- 1 onion
- 2 eggs
- 4 tablespoons flour
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon pepper
- oil for frying
- Peel and grate the potatoes and onion.
- In a large bowl, mix grated potatoes, onion, eggs, flour, salt, and pepper.
- Heat oil in a frying pan over medium heat.
- Drop spoonfuls of the mixture into the pan and flatten them slightly.
- Fry until golden brown on both sides.
- Remove from the pan and place on paper towels to drain excess oil.
- Serve hot with applesauce or sour cream.
Notes
- For a lighter texture, you can separate the egg whites and beat them before folding them into the batter.
- Make sure the oil is hot enough before adding the patties to ensure they fry properly.
