Grissini are thin, crispy breadsticks that originated in Italy, perfect for dipping or enjoying as a snack.

Ingredients

  • 500 grams all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon sugar
  • 1 tablespoon active dry yeast
  • 300 ml warm water
  • 4 tablespoons olive oil

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, combine flour, salt, sugar, and yeast.
  2. Add warm water and olive oil, mix until a dough forms.
  3. Knead on a floured surface until smooth, about 10 minutes.
  4. Let the dough rise in a warm place until doubled in size, about 1 hour.
  5. Preheat the oven to 200°C (400°F).
  6. Roll out the dough into thin sticks and place them on a baking sheet.
  7. Bake for 15-20 minutes or until golden and crispy.
  8. Let cool before serving.
