This delightful grapefruit marmalade is a sweet and tangy spread perfect for breakfast.

Ingredients

  • 4 grapefruits
  • 3 cups sugar
  • 1 cup water
  • 1 lemon, juiced

Instructions

  1. Wash the grapefruits and lemon thoroughly.
  2. Cut the grapefruits in half and juice them, reserving the peels.
  3. Chop the peels into small pieces.
  4. In a large pot, combine grapefruit juice, chopped peels, sugar, and water.
  5. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat and simmer for about 45 minutes until thickened.
  6. Add lemon juice and stir well.
  7. Pour into sterilized jars and seal.

Notes

  • For a smoother marmalade, you can puree the mixture before canning.
  • Adjust sugar to taste depending on the sweetness of the grapefruits.
