  • 100 grams candied orange peel
  • 200 grams sugar

  • 100 grams dark chocolate for icing

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F).
  2. In a bowl, mix ground almonds, candied peels, sugar, and spices.
  3. Beat the egg whites to stiff peaks and gently fold them into the almond mixture.
  4. Spoon the mixture onto lined baking trays.
  5. Bake for about 20 minutes until set and slightly golden.
  6. Let cool, then dip in melted chocolate for icing.
  7. Allow the icing to set before serving.
