- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup cornmeal
- 1 tsp salt
- 1/4 cup unsalted butter
- 1 egg
- 1 cup mozzarella cheese
- 1 cup Italian sausage, crumbled
- 1/2 cup bell peppers, chopped
- 1/2 cup onions, chopped
- 1 jar pizza sauce
- 1 tsp Italian seasoning
- Preheat your oven to 450°F (232°C).
- In a mixing bowl, combine flour, cornmeal, and salt.
- Melt the butter and mix it into the dry ingredients.
- Add the egg and mix until a dough forms.
- Press the dough into a deep dish pizza pan, making sure to cover the sides.
- Layer mozzarella cheese on the bottom of the crust.
- Add crumbled sausage, bell peppers, and onions on top of the cheese.
- Pour pizza sauce over the ingredients.
- Sprinkle Italian seasoning on top.
- Bake for 30-35 minutes or until the crust is golden brown.
Notes
- Let the pizza cool for 10 minutes before slicing.
