Deliciously crispy and cheesy sourdough breadsticks perfect for snacking or as an appetizer.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup sourdough starter
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/2 cup grated parmesan cheese
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In a bowl, mix together the sourdough starter, flour, salt, and olive oil until a dough forms.
  3. Add in the mozzarella and parmesan cheeses, garlic powder, and Italian seasoning; mix until well combined.
  4. Turn the dough out onto a floured surface and roll it out to about 1/4 inch thick.
  5. Cut the dough into sticks and place them on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  6. Bake for 20-25 minutes or until golden and crispy.
  7. Allow to cool slightly before serving.

Notes

  • For extra flavor, brush the breadsticks with melted butter before baking.
  • These can be enjoyed warm or at room temperature.
  • Store any leftovers in an airtight container for up to 2 days.
