- 500 grams mixed dried fruits (e.g., raisins, apricots, figs)
- 200 grams nuts (e.g., walnuts, almonds)
- 400 grams flour
- 1 packet yeast
- 250 ml warm water
- 100 grams sugar
- 1 tsp cinnamon
- 1 pinch salt
- 60 ml vegetable oil
- Preheat the oven to 180°C (356°F).
- In a bowl, mix warm water with yeast and sugar; let it activate for 10 minutes.
- Combine flour, salt, and cinnamon in a separate bowl.
- Add the activated yeast mixture and vegetable oil to the dry ingredients; mix until a dough forms.
- Fold in the dried fruits and nuts.
- Shape the dough into a loaf and place it in a greased baking pan.
- Let it rise for 30 minutes.
- Bake for 45-50 minutes until golden brown.
- Let it cool before slicing.
Notes
- This bread keeps well and tastes better after a day.
- Slice thinly and serve with butter or cheese.
