- 200 g sugar
- 1 pinch salt
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 4 eggs
- 400 g quark
- 150 g flour
- 1 tsp baking powder
- 500 g apples, peeled and sliced
- 150 g flour (for streusel)
- 100 g sugar (for streusel)
- 100 g butter (for streusel)
- Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F).
- In a bowl, cream together the butter, sugar, and salt until light and fluffy.
- Add vanilla extract and eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition.
- Incorporate quark, flour, and baking powder until combined.
- Pour the batter into a prepared springform pan.
- Arrange the sliced apples on top of the batter.
- In another bowl, mix the ingredients for the streusel until crumbly.
- Sprinkle the streusel over the apples.
- Bake for 50-60 minutes or until golden brown.
- Let cool before serving.
