- 200 g butter
- 200 g sugar
- 4 eggs
- 200 g flour
- 100 g ground almonds
- 1 tsp baking powder
- 200 g dark chocolate, melted
- 200 g powdered sugar
- 2 tbsp milk
- Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F).
- Cream together butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
- Add the eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition.
- Mix in the melted chocolate.
- Sift together flour, ground almonds, and baking powder, then fold into the chocolate mixture.
- Pour the batter into a greased and floured cake tin.
- Bake for about 30-35 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
- Let the cake cool before glazing with a mixture of powdered sugar and milk.
Notes
- Store in a cool place for better flavor.
- Can be topped with whipped cream for serving.
