Fleischvögel, traditional German meat rolls, are a delicious dish made with seasoned meat, often wrapped around a filling.

Ingredients

  • 500 grams ground beef
  • 100 grams bread crumbs
  • 1 onion, finely chopped
  • 2 eggs
  • 2 tablespoons mustard
  • salt to taste
  • pepper to taste
  • 4 slices bacon
  • 200 ml beef broth
  • 1 tablespoon oil

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, mix ground beef, bread crumbs, onion, eggs, mustard, salt, and pepper.
  2. Form the mixture into small rolls.
  3. Wrap each roll with a slice of bacon.
  4. Heat oil in a skillet and brown the rolls on all sides.
  5. Add beef broth, cover, and let simmer for 30 minutes.
  6. Serve hot with a side of your choice.

Notes

  • For added flavor, you can include finely chopped herbs in the meat mixture.
  • These are also delicious when served with a creamy sauce.
