- 1 pie crust
- 4 large eggs
- 1 liter whole milk
- 200 grams sugar
- 100 grams cornstarch
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 pinch salt
- Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F).
- Prepare the pie crust in a tart pan and blind bake for 10 minutes.
- In a saucepan, heat the milk with sugar and salt until warm.
- In a bowl, whisk the eggs and cornstarch until smooth.
- Gradually add the warm milk mixture to the egg mixture, whisking constantly.
- Pour the mixture into the baked crust.
- Bake for 40-50 minutes until set and lightly golden.
- Allow to cool before refrigerating for at least 2 hours.
- Serve chilled, slice, and enjoy!
